With over 20 years of experience in the non-profit sector, Jen Atkinson has a proven track record of driving growth and fostering development within non-profit and community organizations. She is highly skilled in business development, leadership and team building, with a particular talent for creating programs that inspire action and inclusivity.
Jen specializes in program design, facilitation, and team training, having spearheaded numerous initiatives that empower communities and amplify youth and Indigenous voices. Her recent work focuses on innovative youth and adult-centered programs, particularly in environmental stewardship, drinking water sector, and career training and skill development for Indigenous communities.
Previously, Jen spent 16 years with the Windfall Ecology Centre, where she led the development and delivery of impactful programs in energy efficiency, community retrofits, stormwater management, youth engagement, and private-sector collaboration.
As an Ecosystem Management graduate from Fleming College, Jen’s passion for community and sustainability is central to her work. When she’s not championing transformative initiatives, she enjoys exploring Georgian Bay’s trails and waterways, supporting local artists and musicians, and enjoying the outdoors.
