Judy has over 15 years of experience as an accounting professional working in multiple sectors including international business, federal government, and not-for-profit. Judy was involved for many years as an educator and facilitator in under-served communities promoting financial literacy skills and empowering start-up entrepreneurs to effectively manage their finances. More recently, Judy’s interest in community development led her to study alternative dispute resolution and she co-leads mediations and conflict coaching sessions in her local area.
Judy is currently working on bringing into practice the emerging field of sustainability accounting, a valuation approach that encompasses living ecosystems, to align business decisions with the health of the environment. Judy is active in national and international economic development projects as part of the Global Indigenous Trust team. She is passionate about facilitating the building of thriving communities. Fluent in English and Spanish, Judy is a Certified Professional Accountant, Certified Management Accountant and has a B. Com from the University of British Columbia.
