Indigenous People’s worldviews are gifts to society that remind us of how to live in unity with all things. They are now our teachers and we are their students. And they are giving us an opportunity to learn from them. But time is running out.
Global Indigenous Trust is looking to partner with like-minded, socially responsible investors, foundations and donors to support the immediate requirements of our Pilot Projects in the areas of development planning & governance; capacity building & skills training; and for equitable partnership negotiation and implementation for sustainable economic development, to ensure this ancient indigenous knowledge is not lost, but rather is incorporated into solutions for healing and unified prosperity for all.
All projects have been selected based on financial sustainability, such that investors can receive a ROI in the medium term, and the communities can become financially independent in the long-term.
In addition, Indigenous Trust is establishing a $30 million Global Fund for Inclusive Economic Growth, managed by an Indigenous Board of Trustees, to support Indigenous communities’ self-directed initiatives in their territories. The fund will enable indigenous communities to access the capital and capacity building tools needed to empower an entrepreneurial class of Indigenous Peoples and businesses to participate and contribute to our global economy, benefiting us all.
