At Indigenous Trust, we believe that empowered people create empowered partnerships and an empowered planet. Our Community Transformation Process and Programs are tailored to meet specific community needs, as well as industry and county context. They combine contemporary knowledge and traditional wisdom at each stage, for a new and truly sustainable model to development.
At Indigenous Trust, we believe that the process is as important as the product. Our Community Transformation Process is a holistic community-led process that reflects the interconnectedness of the community and enables members to define their future on their own terms.
Communities are empowered to complete the process themselves, with the support and mentorship of our Aboriginal Architects of Change, ensuring that change is actually felt on the ground.
We work with private and public sector partners who are committed to inclusive equitable relationships with Indigenous community enterprises and entrepreneurs. Partners can expect to participate in projects that include shared revenue streams, on-the-job and off-the-job training, capacity building, and job advancement opportunities for decent work. Each level of a project will include community participation. Partnerships also feature traditional ecological knowledge implementation when appropriate. We work with collaborators in resource development, service supply, infrastructure development (including clean energy), sustainable agriculture, water management, food security and reforestation for positive climate change.
